Acceptable Use Policy
The rules for using Finovo. This policy keeps the service safe, lawful, and reliable for everyone.
Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Finovo and forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who accesses Finovo — through the web app, our mobile apps, or our API. By using Finovo, you agree to follow this policy.
Acceptable use
You may use Finovo only for lawful business purposes, in accordance with our Terms of Service, this policy, and all laws and regulations that apply to you in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, or any other relevant jurisdiction.
Prohibited activities
You must not use Finovo — or allow anyone else to use your account — to do any of the following:
Illegal activity
Committing, facilitating, or promoting any unlawful act, including fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or the financing of terrorism.
Abuse and harm
Harassing, threatening, or defaming others, or storing and sharing content that is abusive, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
Security violations
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure; probing or scanning for vulnerabilities without our written permission; or bypassing authentication, quotas, or rate limits.
Scraping and automated abuse
Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data by automated means, or accessing the service other than through our published interfaces and APIs within their documented limits.
Impersonation and misrepresentation
Impersonating any person or organisation, misrepresenting your affiliation with them, or forging headers to disguise the origin of any request or content.
Service integrity
Distributing malware, sending spam, overloading or disrupting the service, or interfering with any other customer's use of Finovo.
Security and your account
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials confidential, use strong authentication, and notify us promptly at the address below if you suspect any unauthorised use or a security vulnerability.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take any action we consider appropriate — including removing content, suspending or terminating access, and reporting activity to law enforcement. Where practical we will give notice first, but we may act immediately when a violation risks harm to the service, our customers, or third parties.
Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is using Finovo in breach of this policy, tell us at legal@getfinovo.com. Please include enough detail for us to investigate and act.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Finovo after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
